UN Global Compact

Launched in July 2000, the UN Global Compact (UNGC) is a leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible and sustainable corporate policies and practices. As the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative, UNGC aligns business operations and strategies based on a foundation of ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

CLLC became a signatory to the UNGC in July 2017.

Global Compact Network Lebanon

The Global Compact Network Lebanon (GCNL) works closely with the UNGC Headquarters to provide opportunities for education, policy dialogue, and partnership on the UNGC Ten Principles and UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Lebanon.

CLLC became a signatory to the GCNL in July 2017.

Citizen L Non-Profit Organization

CLLC is committed to our responsibility as global citizens to uphold the highest standards of professional business conduct and ethics to all our stakeholders and society at large.

We are proud to advance the Global Compact principles, as well as the development of the UN SDGs, through our non-profit practice, Citizen L. Our purpose is to facilitate access to justice, social and economic development by supporting education in under-served regions around the world. We encourage our staff to participate in meaningful pro-bono work that is impactful and results in a sustained positive outcome for those in need.

Additional Contributions

CLLC members host a periodic pro-bono legal clinic designed to support the local underprivileged population with sensitive matters that may otherwise have a significant negative impact on their lives or the lives of loved ones. Among other matters, we are proud to have supported deprived individuals resolve child custody cases, dismiss land dispute matters affecting their only residence, and structure wills. We strive to ensure individuals are not discriminated against or taken advantage of due to a disadvantaged financial situation.  

CLLC continues to be a leader in environmental sustainability, undertaking initiatives to reduce our environmental impact through firm-wide green initiatives.
